Girls Trip Diaries: A Sweet Summer in Santorini
It’s been years since my last girls trip so I was pleased to see our plans finally make it out of the group chat. I was ready for lots of laughter, late-night talks, the spontaneous photo shoots and cocktails that taste better simply because you’re sharing them with your day ones. In the summer of 2023, my cousins and I packed our bags, grabbed our passports, and jetted off to Santorini, Greece and it was every bit as iconic as you’d imagine.
Now let’s get into it! But first, a classic group passport flick or it didn’t happen!
Oh nothing to see here, just a yagi babe about to board the plane…
Touchdown in Paradise
From the moment we landed, it felt like stepping into a postcard. It’s one thing seeing it in pictures but in person is a whole other feeling. Blue-domed churches, crisp white buildings carved into cliffs, and views that made you stop mid-scroll just to soak it all in.
We stayed in the most gorgeous resort with plush sunbeds and quiet luxury. Our itinerary was a perfect mix of doing everything and doing absolutely nothing.
We finally arrived at our beautiful hotel and was warmly welcomed with drinks and champagne.

And of course patron for the road!

We headed to our rooms for some much needed freshening up and rest before a quick change for poolside relaxation. In usual fashion, Jums (my roomie) and I blasted Asake classics as we got ready.
Daytime Vibes: Poolside & Sun-kissed
Our days consisted of sipping on chilled cocktails by the pool, brunching under the shade and getting dressed up for absolutely no reason at all besides a photoshoot. One thing was clear, we were living our best lives and every day was a slay. Think statement shades, glowing skin and bellies full.

The next morning, Anu and I went to visit my wedding venue and breathtaking doesn’t even begin to describe it. It was such an emotional moment for me. We had booked it purely based on photos and videos online, so naturally, I was a little nervous in the lead-up. But deep down, I had faith it would be everything we’d hoped for and it truly was. Here we are, waiting in the office before Konstantinos, the venue manager, came to take us on the tour.
Later that evening, we had dinner at Pyrgos Restaurant, which offered some stunning views. As for the food… let’s just say it looked better than it tasted. Aesthetically pleasing, but it didn’t quite hit the mark.
And of course, here I am with my signature mirror flick before heading out.
Now you know i couldn’t leave without a full fit flick. I loved this chocolate brown two piece from Oh Polly!

Day three was for exploring Oia but first, mirror flick.

After our mini shoot, we took a cab down to Oia and it really was a long one, but very worth while in the end.
Oia Dreams
One of the highlights was xploring Oia during golden hour. The sunset was unreal and the caldera views? Breathtaking. The photo ops? Endless.
We strolled through cobbled streets, picked up some local art, and took enough photos to fill five albums. Everywhere we turned was like stepping into a Pinterest board — and we made sure to soak it all in.

Very artsy, very cutesy…

Our walk through Oia was long and by the end of it, my feet were definitely feeling it. If you’re planning to explore, trust me: comfy shoes are a must. Those picturesque cobbled streets are no joke!
Lot’s of banter to help us cope through the longest walk I’ve ever faced on our way to the cab pick up point.
The next day, Nikki Beach was on the agenda but first, a group pic was in order. And believe it or not, the colour coordination was unplanned. Everyone really understood the assignment without even trying!

Nikki Beach: Poolside Glam with a Price Tag
Of course, no girls trip to Santorini is complete without a visit to Nikki Beach, the iconic beach club known for luxury lounging and bougie brunches. The setting was undeniably beautiful. We ordered some seriously good food (honestly, the food was the highlight, everything was seasoned, fresh and so well-presented). But here’s the tea… While we loved the vibe visually, the music wasn’t really our thing, a bit too house/EDM for our taste and for the price point, it definitely felt a little overpriced for what we got.
That said, we weren’t about to let anything dull our shine. We made the most of the sunshine, good company and poolside antics. This outing taught me that sometimes it’s not about the playlist, it’s about the people you’re with.

The drinks started flowing in.
Cheers to a good time…

Let’s take a moment for the sushi and crab salad, simply delishhhhhh…

More drinks please…
Quick mirror selfie in the ladies room before we called it a day. All in all a time was had but would I go again? Maybe, but with adjusted expectations, a playlist and my bluetooth speakers!

Nights to Remember: Club Enigma
What’s a girl’s trip without a night at the club? Another cheeky mirror fit flick before hitting the streets of Fira.
Jade and I clearly feeling ourselves.
Another one for good luck…
You know you’re having fun when you’re so caught up in the moment you forget to take proof. Club Enigma was a nothing short of a BLAST. Great music, great people, unmatched energy and all round vibes!
We stopped at a McDonalds just outside the club before heading back to our hotel.
Dining at Pacman: Chic, Sunset & So Sophisticated
One of the standout moments of our trip was dinner at Pacman Restaurant, a modern, open-air spot in the heart of Santorini that feels like a scene from a James Bond movie, only with better cocktails and way better outfits.
The views of the Aegean Sea, the ambience and soft breeze, we were gassed!! It all felt so effortless and luxe. The menu was a blend of Mediterranean flavours with a fine-dining twist. Perfectly grilled meats, fresh seafood, and cocktails.
We laughed, we posed (because yes, the lighting was immaculate), and toasted to a night that reminded me why we work hard, so we can live even harder.
Group pic…

The restaurant was pure art.

When we were done taking in the outdoor scenes, we headed to our table in the main restaurant for dinner. Here’s a cheeky group flick as we waited for our food to arrive.
The food was too good!

Tequila shots for the girls on the house!
To sum it all up, it was an amazing trip. We dined, danced and toasted to sisterhood and living the softest life. From poolside cocktails to vibey nightclubs, every night ended in laughter (and a phone full of hilarious videos to replay forever).
This trip reminded me of the beauty of pausing and being present. Of surrounding yourself with people who make your soul smile. It wasn’t just about the aesthetics (though trust, they were top tier), it was about connection. These are the memories I’ll hold onto; the banter, the petty arguments, the joy of being seen, heard, and hyped up by your girls.

If you’re thinking of taking that girls trip, do it. Book it.
If you made it this far, you deserve a treat. Here’s the itinerary Anu and I created for our 5 day girl’s trip to Santorini, Greece, enjoy! As for Santorini, I’ll be back.
